Statement of Faith | Clear Springs Bible Church

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We at Clear Springs Bible Church believe that all saints should read and study the whole Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The scriptures say that God has a two fold purpose:

1. Acts 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

2. Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

God gives a threefold division in the Bible: “Time Past” Ephesians 2:11 – 12, “But Now” Ephesians 2:13, and “Ages to Come” Ephesians 2:7. God’s desire is our desire in this Dispensation of Grace and that desire is: 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. The Lord Jesus Christ tells us through the apostle Paul that the measure of a successful ministry in this Dispensation of Grace is written down in 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me (The doctrine that Paul gives us) among many witness, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. We here at Clear Springs Bible Church are committed to this ministry in 2 Timothy 2:2. The goal is to commit the doctrine to faithful men, and these faithful men will teach and commit the doctrine to other faithful men. So, the message of grace will continue to go out in our area and around the world.

1. The verbal inspiration and plenary authority of the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16 – 17 and 2 Peter 1:21). The Authorized King James Version is an accurate translation of the preserved words of God in the English language.

2. The eternal Trinity of the GODHEAD (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 2:5; Ephesians 4:4 – 6; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

3. The eternal Deity, virgin birth, vicarious death, and spotless humanity of the LORD JESUS CHRIST (Luke 1:35; Philippians 2:6 – 9; Romans 1:3, 4).

4. MANKIND by nature is sinful and under the condemnation of God (Ephesians 2:1 – 3; Romans 3:9 – 12; 1 Corinthians 1:18 – 31).

5. Personal SALVATION is by God’s grace, through faith alone in the crucified, risen, and glorified Christ (Romans 3:24 – 28; 5:1, 9; Ephesians 2:8, 9; 1 Corinthians 15:1 – 4; Ephesians 1:13).

6. The ETERNAL SECURITY of all the saved (Colossians 3:1 – 4; Philippians 1:6; Romans 8:1;8:29 – 34; 8:38,39; Ephesians 1:13,14).

7. The personality and Deity of the HOLY SPIRIT (John 16:8; Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 12:13).

8. The essential unity of all believers of the present dispensation as members of the one true Church, the BODY OF CHRIST. (Ephesians 1:22 – 23, 1 Corinthians 12:13.

9. The sign gifts of the Acts period were temporary in character, and have ceased (1 Corinthians 13:8 – 13).

10. The privilege and duty of all the saved to WALK by faith as children of light (2 Corinthians 5:7; Ephesians 5:11).

11. All believers are made members of the Body of Christ by One Divine BAPTISM (1 Corinthians 12:13), by which also they are identified with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Romans 6:3 – 4). In light of 1 Corinthians 1:17, Ephesians 4:5, and Colossians 2:12, we affirm that water baptism has no place in God’s spiritual program for the Body of Christ in this dispensation of Grace.

12. The RESURRECTION of the body (Luke 24:39 – 43; 1 Corinthians 15:40 – 44).

13. The Pre-tribulation RAPTURE of the Church (Body of Christ) 1 Thessalonians 4:13 – 18; Titus 2:13, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:51 – 53;
Philippians 3:20 – 21, Romans 5:9, 1 Thessalonians 1:10 and 1 Thessalonians 5:9.

14. The personal, premillennial RETURN OF CHRIST to reign on earth (Zechariah 14:4,9; Acts 1:10,11; Revelation 19:11 – 16, Revelation 20:4 – 6).

15. The ETERNAL PUNISHMENT of the unsaved dead (Luke 16:23 – 28, 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 14:11, Revelation 20:14,15).

16. The Dispensation of the Fulness of Times (Ephesians 1:10), the Body of Christ will be in Heaven, and the Nation of Israel will be here (On earth) Ephesians 2:19; Ephesians 3:15.

17. The MYSTERY “Hid in God” was the divine purpose to make of Jew and Gentile a whole new thing, that is the Church, which is Christ’s Body. The revelation of this Mystery was committed to Paul, and it is in his writing alone that we find the doctrine, position, walk and destiny of the Church (Galatians 1:11 – 12; Ephesians 3:1 – 9; Colossians 1:24 – 27).
